Dedicated to Service

Felix Ramirez
October 5, 1951 - February 12, 2018

Memorial Services for Felix Ramirez, 66, a long-time Hereford resident will be celebrated Friday, February 16, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church with Reverend Kevin Bushart, pastor, and Billy Joe Wall, pastor of Avenue Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Parkside Chapel Funeral Home. Mr. Ramirez passed away on Monday, February 12, 2018.

Felix Ramirez was born October 5, 1951 in Mertzon, Texas to Martin and Anita Lara Ramirez. Felix grew up in the big city of Vega, Texas where he met and married the love of his life, Sue Brandes, on July 15, 1971. They moved to Hereford in 1974 and have called it home ever since, together they have two daughters, Melissa Ramirez Murray and Kirby Ramirez. Felix was a self-employed welder whose work can be found all over the Texas Panhandle.

When he wasn’t working you could find him piddling at The Shop. He spent his free time caring for his livestock, making horseshoe masterpieces and loving his family. There is no greater love than the love he had for his children, grandchildren, and his “vieja”. Felix was a master BBQ-er and loved sitting with family and listening to music.

Left behind are his wife Sue Ramirez; one daughter, Kirby Ramirez and husband Rob of Hereford; his pride and joy grandson, Tylan; four granddaughters, Kandace, Kameron, Addy and his cowboy show watching buddy Katy; one son-in-law, Guy Murray; five brothers; two sisters; His Football Family and a host of friends.

He was greeted in Heaven by his daughter Melissa, his grandson Porfedio, and countless other loved ones.

The family suggests Memorials be made in Mr. Ramirez’s honor to the Hereford High School Welding Department, 703 Grand, Hereford, TX 79045.
